The 10-ply Keller maple shell is paired with heavy 3.0mm triple-flanged hoops and solid brass lugs, giving the drum some extra weight and helping it deliver that sharp, focused crack when tuned up.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/blockquote\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bearing edges are cut at 30° with an outer round-over, then waxed and burnished. I paired the drum with a George Way-style throw-off and 20-strand German-steel snare wires to keep the response quick and articulate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd then there's the finish. The exterior has a unique satin \"Rattle Can\" finish, with a custom silver\/white interior.
