The Drum Logo Archive

I’m passionate about continually growing my collection of vintage and hard to find drum and percussion brand logos. With great care, I’ve recreated these vintage logos from scratch, referencing old catalogs and drumheads to capture their original look and spirit.

Don't Replace It. Restore It.

Deep in my gut, I’d much rather help you bring an old drum kit back to life than see you buy a shiny new one. From re-cutting precision bearing edges and cutting snare beds to plugging unwanted holes, re-wrapping shells, or tuning up a stubborn kit, I can help find a solution for almost any drum malfunction. Bring your drums by the shop locally or ship them in—let's make them play and sound like they should.

The Workbench Series

Every drum in my Workbench Series is a true one‑off — built individually with its own character and treated as a functional little art piece. I blend salvaged shells and classic hardware with modern components and hand‑applied finishes, using unconventional processes that are intentionally prepped to age, patina, and take on real wear. These aren’t museum pieces dripping with exotic woods or glossy candy coatings; they’re crafted with a road‑tested aesthetic so you never feel like they’re “too pretty” to take out on a gig.

I keep things simple and focused on what matters: sound, feel, and reliability. As soon as you play one, you know these drums are more than just wood, metal, and paint — there’s a mojo in a good drum you can’t explain. That’s what I’m chasing: not sterile perfection, but real character, soul, and modern dependability. And they’re priced accessibly (starting at $399) so real working drummers can actually own one and put it to work.

Behind the Bench

I’ve been playing, repairing, and building drums for nearly 40 years. It started on a bedroom floor as a teenager, cobbling together vintage parts to build something playable out of nothing. I went to school for graphic design, ended up spending 30 years running a drum shop, and eventually stepped away to try a new path — only to find myself pulled right back into the work I've grown to love.

Kline Drums is built around a simple idea: I like old things, I like new things, and I love combining them. In a market dominated by big-box stores pushing the newest, shiniest gear, or vintage resellers looking to gouge with inflated prices, I focus on the stuff they won't touch —weather it's finding and recreating lost logos, sourcing replacement hardware for older gear, or helping you repair or modify an existing instrument. Deep down, I will always prefer helping you save an old kit over selling you something that you don't really need.
